Spelling activities ideas

Description

Spelling-Activities-Ideas – Thinking of spelling activities can be a daunting and sometimes a tiring thing to do! This pack has a list of spelling activities ideas as well as task cards that include multi sensory spelling activities. These are spelling activities for any list words and for any year level. 43 engaging spelling activities are included (as task cards).
Spelling-Activities-Ideas includes;
  • A contents page is included for your teacher planning.
  • These spelling task cards are designed to use in small group activity rotations during literacy times. We all know that in a busy classroom, there are times when the teacher is working with a small group at a time and requires the students to be engaged in meaningful activities when this occurs.
  • These spelling task cards clearly explain the tasks for students, provide illustrations and can be explicitly taught prior to use in rotation times.
  • All cards are aimed at providing students with further practise in spelling (such as word building) and understanding some vocabulary concepts. When students have a deeper understanding of their words they tend to use them in writing more often.
  • Some activities are appropriate for individual students and others require students to work together (in small groups or pairs).
  • These task cards can be used with any spelling pattern and are adaptable for many year levels.
  • They are bright and colourful.
  • Laminate these cards to place on a table for students to refer to.

Please check your printing settings prior to printing to ensure this fits to your page and the clarity is good.

Enjoy.

    I am a new graduate and I had no idea what activities I could do with spelling. This product was great. I could print the A4 task card. It had what resources were required and explicitly stated the task. The visuals helped the students too. I could hand these task cards to assistants too. This was helpful when I didn’t have time to explain the task. These are really pretty cards too. Thanks again. Could you do these in other areas?
